Thread Series
A collection of multimedia works centered on the ideas of using thread as a third dimensional medium on a two dimensional painting.
Thread protrudes from the canvas exposing a feeble attempt to contain the the unkept. The thread needs to be continually maintained and combed out as the slightest movement can cause the thread to tangle within itself.
Invert Thread Series
A collection of multimedia encaustic (wax) paintings centered on the ideas of embedding thread into the layers of wax.
In an attempt hide what is unconcealable we create a layer of messy truths buried by a desire to keep some things to ourselves.
Evening Collection
A series of dark airy paintings inspired by the feeling of night.
